Wesley’s Employment Services empowers job seekers to achieve meaningful and sustainable employment while supporting employers in meeting evolving workforce needs. Through a client-centered and equity-focused approach, the department serves adults, youth, newcomers, refugees, and other vulnerable and equity-deserving populations facing barriers to labour market participation. The portfolio includes:

• Employment Ontario (EO) services, delivered under the oversight of Fedcap Canada as the Employment Services System Manager for the Hamilton-Niagara region.
• Skills Training and Employment Pathways (STEP), supporting Government-Assisted Refugees (GARs) through employment readiness, skills development, and workforce integration opportunities in Hamilton and Brantford.

Services include career exploration, employment readiness, job search support, employer engagement, skills training referrals, skilled trades pathways, work placements, and workforce attachment support. The department is committed to helping participants build the skills, confidence, experience, and connections required to achieve long-term economic independence and career success.
