We are proud to share that Wesley has been featured in the latest edition of Hamilton City Magazine in a comprehensive story highlighting our history, impact, and ongoing commitment to supporting individuals and families across Hamilton, Halton, and Brantford.
Written by Meredith MacLeod, the article, “Wesley: Never Standing Still,” explores Wesley’s 71-year journey from its beginnings in a church basement to becoming one of the region’s largest and most diverse social service organizations. The feature shares stories of resilience and hope from people who have accessed Wesley programs, while also highlighting the dedication of our staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners.
The article also showcases many of Wesley’s key initiatives, including youth housing, newcomer services, EarlyON programs, food services, supportive housing, and our Special Care Unit. It highlights the recent purchase of our permanent home at 467 Main Street East and our continued efforts to create innovative, community-based solutions to poverty, homelessness, and social isolation.
