Welcoming Week 2025

Our communities are growing more diverse every day, and it’s exciting to see how newcomers bring fresh ideas, experiences, and perspectives that make us stronger and more inclusive. Together, we can welcome every new neighbour!

Welcoming Week (September 12–21, 2025) celebrates the importance of embracing newcomers, helping them settle, and making sure everyone feels part of community life.

At Wesley, we see how newcomers welcomed through our Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP) and Asylum Seekers Assistance Program (ASAP) enrich Hamilton and Brantford. They bring skills, stories, and talents that strengthen businesses, health care, education, the arts, and sports, helping our communities thrive.

Welcoming newcomers also builds connection. When people from different backgrounds come together, we learn from one another, celebrate cultures, and form lasting friendships. These connections deepen understanding and create a true sense of belonging. We know that welcoming community is a stronger community!
