Each year, Wesley’s annual Case for Kids fundraising event brings our community together for a day of fun family activities, good food, music, and a 1.5km walk/run/ride to support local children and youth. Part of the tradition at Case for Kids is a t-shirt given to participants to wear and show their support, and this year’s shirt features beautiful artwork by 9-year-old Brielle.
Brielle embraced this year’s theme of inclusion and belonging with an eye-catching design that shares the message, “We All Belong.” Her artwork features this message along with hearts and stars, with bold colours that ensure everyone can see and feel the important message of support and unity.
Beyond her creativity, Brielle is a compassionate young person. She loves riding horses, playing volleyball, spending time with her cousins at the cottage, and walking dogs in her neighbourhood (upon counting, she confirmed that she knows over 30 different dogs!)
Since kindergarten, Brielle has participated in Wesley’s After-School Programs, which focus on physical activity, social development, and healthy nutrition—ensuring kids stay active, engaged, and well cared for outside of school hours.
Brielle understands the importance of making others feel included and supported, and she puts that into practice every day at school. Her art is an extension of that spirit—a reminder that our communities are stronger when everyone feels like they belong.
We’re proud to have Brielle’s art showcased on the Case for Kids t-shirts this year, and she’s excited to see so many people wearing them and sharing the message of inclusivity!
