Meet Hameedah

Meet Hameedah, a bright and determined participant in Wesley’s Before and After School Program, and the designer of the 2024 Case for Kids t-shirt!

Hameedah experienced delays in language and physical development, posing communication barriers. She has overcome significant challenges since joining the program, consistently demonstrating resilience and determination, breaking through those barriers with an unwavering commitment.

Her progress can be seen in her artistic development. She started by drawing simple circles for people. She then embarked on a journey of exploration and growth. She did so with each stroke of her pencil. She kept practicing.

Now, those basic circles have turned into intricate and expressive works of art. This includes her drawing for this year’s Case For Kids t-shirt.

The drawing shows Hameedah and her mother, Mujidat holding hands with hearts around them. It captures their bond and love, which sustains them through life’s challenges. Mujidat is a single parent who has navigated life’s complexities with strength and determination.

Hameedah and Mujidat’s love shines through despite all the obstacles they’ve overcome. It shows in the artwork, which inspires with its warmth and sincerity.

Hameedah’s drawing also shows the spirit of resilience and the power of perseverance. It is a testament to the program’s supportive environment and dedicated staff who have nurtured and encouraged Hameedah every step of the way.

Her drawing represents her journey of growth and empowerment. Wesley is immensely proud of Hameedah and looks forward to her continued success and contributions to our community.
