City Councillor Ted McMeekin Visits Wesley

Wesley CEO Rashed Afif enjoyed a meaningful conversation about housing with Hamilton City Councillor Ted McMeekin, who first volunteered at Wesley over 50 years ago.

Ted and his spouse Barb met as young people serving the community at the Wesley Centre in the early 70’s. Barb went on to become a family physician, and Ted held elected positions, locally and provincially, and is now a Hamilton city councillor. We are honoured that the work of Wesley is part of the McMeekin family’s story, and we are glad that all these years later, Ted still stops by Wesley to see how he can help.
